Hello Self,
Apparently, I don't really want to post about every meal I eat. I just don't like to get on the computer that much. So, I accept that I will not record every meal. Maybe I'll change my mind later, but it's just not working for me now.
So, how has the battle against senseless eating been going? Not so well, really. There was kid2's birthday party where I consumed an insane amount of sugar that disturbed my stomach and digestive system. There was the annual block party where I also consumed an insane amount of sugar, and added an insane amount of red meat and anything else I could fit onto my plate (which I filled three times). We went over to visit some friends last night and I mindlessly munched on potato chips and fruit into a creamy, sugary dip that. I washed that down with too much chicken and hot dogs.
On the other hand, I've been fairly conscious of the overall trajectory of my health. I haven't been letting more than a couple of days pass between trips to the gym. And, I've really been working to eat enough fruits and vegetables.
So, the draw of the dark side is strong, but the force is still with me. Kind of.
